Babylon Window
 |
I don't know the real name of this arch, so I named it Babylon Window since it is so close to the Babylon Arch trailhead |
If you're hiking to Babylon Arch, which I highly recommend, while you're at the trailhead you can explore around a little bit and see a couple more arches. You can reach the Babylon Arch trailhead by following google maps navigation. Take I-15 until the Leeds/Silver Reef exit (exit #22) and follow Leeds through Main Street until you reach 900 North. Follow 900 North for almost 4 miles and pass the Sand Cove trailhead. Turn right onto the Babylon Arch trailhead. If your car has high clearance and exceptional four-wheel drive capabilities, you can drive all the way to the fence where the trailhead is. We parked soon after the right turn and walked the rest of the way to the Babylon Arch trailhead. When facing the trailhead, you can walk to the left to find both the Babylon Jug-handle arch (I couldn't find the real name of the Jug-handle arch either) and the Babylon Window.

We did see 2 desert tortoises on our hike that day |

Just after Sand Cove, take a right to Babylon Arch trail |

When facing the trailhead, explore to the left until you see Babylon Window high up in the cliffs.

I was surprised I didn't notice the arch when approaching the trailhead, but you can see it best when you're at the trailhead looking over to the left. |

It looks like the arch is actually quite large, although I can't say for sure since I couldn't figure out a way to climb up there. |

Standing directly below the arch, the arch disappeared up above. |

The Babylon Window is near the arch trailhead on the map. I believe the "natural arch" listed on this map is Painted Arch. This is a screenshot from Natural Atlas |

Notice the Babylon Arch Trailhead - that is where the Babylon Window is. This screenshot is off of Google Maps. |
Very close to this arch is a jug-handle arch, which I also don't know the name of, so I named it Babylon Jug-Handle. Continue exploring in the area and you will see it. Other arches in the area include:
* Babylon Arch
* Babylon Jug-Handle
* An unnamed arch high in the mountains that I took a photo of from the Babylon Arch trailhead
* Painted Arch
