This arch is right by Eye of the Whale Arch, but is not listed on the map. Since we didn't know the name of it when we saw it, we decided to name it what we thought it looked like -- Gonzo Arch (from Muppets) or Jar Jar Binks Arch (from Star Wars). Later I did some research and found that it is named Leaping Arch. Personally, I like Jar Jar Binks the best -- just look at the photos! Can't you see it? Drive the 4 wheel drive trail to Eye of the Whale parking pull-out and keep going until you get to another small parking pull-out. Hike over to the arch. We could not figure out a way to get underneath the arch. My husband and son explored all around, but just couldn't find a way in. From far away you do not realize how huge the opening is under the arch, but once you get close to it you realize that this is a very large arch. In fact, the opening is probably a lot bigger than we could see, since we couldn't get underneath it. I love finding unmarked arches! I had been to Eye of the Whale Arch one time before, but I do not remember seeing Leaping Arch!
